OrangeDOT Polyester Two-Component Fine Yellow Filler – Softspachtel, Soft Putty

DESCRIPTION AND USE
Medium-viscosity, highly shapeable filling putty designed for filling small to medium surface imperfections. Suitable for common substrates including cast iron, aluminum, zinc, and fiberglass. Very easy to sand and pore-free.

APPLICATION
Remove rust and sand the surface with P80 grit sandpaper. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. For maximum corrosion protection, apply epoxy or polyurethane primer first. Do not apply over reactive, single-component, or nitrocellulose primers. Apply with a putty knife.

MIXING
Mix with hardener (PE initiator, dibenzoyl peroxide, red paste in tube) in a weight ratio of 50:1 – 50 parts putty : 1 part hardener – recommended for 23°C.

POT LIFE
At 23°C and 50:1 ratio, the putty must be applied within 5 minutes of mixing. At temperatures below 23°C (minimum 17°C), pot life is extended; at higher temperatures, it is shortened. Adjusting the mixing ratio can partially compensate for temperature changes:
– minimum 100:1 extends pot life
– maximum 100:3 shortens pot life

SANDING
At 23°C and 50:1 ratio, sanding is possible after 25–30 minutes. Start with P80–120, finish with P180–240. Use a rotary or orbital sander for best results.

TOPCOATS
Compatible with all common paint systems. Heat resistant up to 80–110°C.

TOOL CLEANING
Clean contaminated tools with nitro thinner C6000 before curing.

STORAGE
Store and transport at +5 to +25°C. Protect from direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf life: 24 months.
