Motip 2K Two-component Clear Coat glossy spray 200ml

Motip 2K high-gloss clear coat, extremely scratch-resistant. Two-component clear coat with excellent resistance to petrol, UV radiation, and weathering. Thanks to its fast drying, it has very good flow and is easy to polish. Motip 2K clear coat is especially suitable for spot repairs. For spot repairs, use our Spot Blender as well. Pre-filled Motip sprays can be overcoated with 2K clear coat after approximately 30 minutes – the previous layer must be completely dry.

Application: Ideal for spot repairs and part coating.

• Drying time at 20°C and 50% relative humidity:

  • Dust-dry: after approx. 5 minutes

  • Touch-dry: after approx. 5 hours

  • Drying time depends on ambient temperature, air humidity, and layer thickness

• Temperature resistance: up to 120 °C

• Shelf life: 36 months when properly stored (10–25 °C, max. 60% relative humidity)

• Size: Two-component aerosol cans, available in 200 ml and 500 ml

• Pot life:

  • 24 hours at room temperature (20–25 °C)

  • 5 days if stored cold (6 °C); reheat to room temperature before use

After drying for approx. 30 minutes, the basecoat can be overcoated with Motip 2K clear coat in 2–3 full layers of 50 µm each. Wait 2–4 minutes between coats.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the safety cap from the bottom of the can and pull the pin completely out using the ring. This releases a blade that pierces the inner hardener cartridge. Rotate the cartridge 360° to fully open it and release the hardener. Shake the can thoroughly for 2 minutes to mix component A with the hardener. Perform a spray test on a sample surface.
Pot life: 24 hours (at 20 °C)
