Characteristics:
DINITROL 750 is a one-component sealing-adhesive sealant based on STP polymer for spray and extrusion applications. It has high adhesion to many surfaces and is permanently elastic in the final state. Use a suitable gun to achieve the original appearance of the surfaces. The film cures by reaction with air humidity.
Fields of application:
DINITROL 750 is especially suitable for sealing seams on motor vehicle bodies, truck cabins, rail vehicles, caravans, etc. in production and service. Excellent sealing and damping anti-noise properties in combination with increased abrasion resistance predetermine DINITROL 750 for use anywhere on the body. High adhesion of DINITROL 750 to common surfaces, artificial rubbers, plastics, metals incl. galvanized and others allows its use as a flexible adhesive (use must be tested). It can be used in the construction of bodies, superstructures, rail vehicles, ships and in other fields of production, construction, etc.
The advantage of STP polymer over commonly used polyurethanes is the fulfillment of the latest occupational hygiene requirements and the exclusion of primers that have been used in the PU system.
Application:
Sealed resp. the bonded surface must be clean, dry and degreased. DINITROL 750 also has excellent adhesion to raw surfaces. It can be applied directly to aluminum, untreated steel, galvanized material, wood and to the surfaces of many plastics. DINITROL 750 is applied with a mechanical, air and possibly electric gun.
The material is applied using an application nozzle, which can be cut to the cross-section and shape required for application. The final shaping of the surface can be done with a trowel and the like. with the help of detergent solution, etc. (be careful when repainting). DINITROL 750 can be immediately repainted by the wet-on-wet method of most standard paints. It is also recommended to repaint within 5 days. Spray paint will have little effect on the cure rate.
